Project Updates
SANBI partnership
September 8, 2020

Dear Friends,
In September, after many months of discussion, we formed a formal partnership with the South African National Biodiversity Institute to help us develop the technology for all the Panthera, big cat species and for rhino.
With additional funding, on top of fecal DNA detection, we will work with the Senckenberg Institute to develop the technology for different sample types like skin, bone, hair and meat.
This development will have huge applications for illegal wildlife trade detection for law enforcement and customs officers….and SANBI have all the samples and genomic information we could ever need to make it happen.

I’m so very excited about where this partnership could lead!
